Overdue, Lost and Damaged Payments
- A fine of 10¢ per day per item up to a maximum of $4 per item will be charged for books and records, and 10¢ per day up to a maximum fine of $10 will be charged for videocassettes.
- No library materials may be checked out if you owe fines or have library materials checked out which are more than 4 weeks overdue.
- If you damage a book, you will be charged a repair or replacement fee.
- If you lose a book or damage it beyond repair, you will be charged a fee equal to the price of the book listed in the current edition of Books in Print or, if the book is no longer in print, the list price of the book at the time it was purchased by or given to the library.
- A fee of $2.00 will be charged for missing or damaged barcode labels.
- Overdue items should not be placed in the outside bookdrop when the library is open. Please return overdue items directly to a staff member at the circulation desk on the main floor or in the Children's Room. If the library is closed, you may place overdue items in the bookdrop and pay the fines the next time you are in the library.
