YOU CAN STOP ABUSE, NEGLECT AND EXPLOITATION OF DISABLED ADULTS
The NC Law requires that any person having reasonable cause to believe that a disabled adult is in need of protective services shall report such information to the Director of the Department of Social Services.
The Reporter's name can be kept confidential: The reporter is protected from Civil and Criminal Liability for Good Faith Reports.

When to call:
What information is needed about the Disabled Adult:
- name and address
- age or birth date
- caregiver/caretaker's name
- explain the situation and why you feel the person needs protection
- mental or physical condition of the adult
- names of others who may help provide information regarding the situation
