1. NAME OF PROGRAM: Problem Pregnancy
2. PURPOSE OF PROGRAM: To provide pregnant women who have no place to live, a temporary home until the baby is born.
3. APPLICATION PROCEDURES: Applications are taken in the Crisis Unit at the Department of Social Services.
4. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Need for service.
- Must be income eligible.
- Must be a legal resident of North Carolina.
5. OTHER PROGRAM DETAILS: Florence Crittenton is the placement for pregnant women. An application for State Maternity Home Funds is completed along with a social summary and sent to Wanda Hunt in Raleigh for approval. The application takes about two weeks for approval. The client can’t be admitted to Florence Crittenton without approval from Raleigh or making arrangements for payment with Florence Crittenton prior to their admission.
