July 12, 2017 -- The Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners set public hearings regarding two economic development investments. The hearings will take place in the Board of Commissioners' Meeting Room, located on the second floor of the Cabarrus County Governmental Center, 65 Church Street SE, Concord.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
JULY 17, 2017– 6:30 P.M.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT INVESTMENT
 
 
Notice is hereby given that the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. (or as soon thereafter as persons may be heard) on Monday, July 17, 2017, in the Board of Commissioners’ Meeting Room, located on the second floor of the Cabarrus County Governmental Center, 65 Church Street SE, Concord, to consider an economic development investment for Project Laser, pursuant to N.C. General Statute § 158-7.1. Project Laser proposes a projected investment in Cabarrus County of approximately $1.5 million in personal property.  A 3-year grant equivalent to 85% of the ad valorem taxes on the increase in real and personal property tax values is requested. The proposed draft agreement is available for inspection in the Office of the Clerk to the Board at the Governmental Center.

Notice is hereby given that the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. (or as soon thereafter as persons may be heard) on Monday, July 17, 2017, in the Board of Commissioners’ Meeting Room, located on the second floor of the Cabarrus County Governmental Center, 65 Church Street SE, Concord, to consider an economic development investment for Project Hercules (developer) pursuant to N.C. General Statute § 158-7.1. Project Hercules (developer) proposes a projected investment in Cabarrus County of approximately $50 million in real property.  A reimbursement for infrastructure improvements for an amount up to $1,487,500, (equivalent to a 5-year grant at 85% of the ad valorem taxes on the increase in real and personal property tax values), is requested. The proposed draft agreement is available for inspection in the Office of the Clerk to the Board at the Governmental Center.
